Seamaster Series

Seamaster Diver 300m
Typically, Omega SA released the first Seamaster Diver 300M in 1993. At the time, the glory of the Seamaster lineup had not recovered fully from the devastating quartz crisis of 1970/80s. Regardless of the stiff market, the new Omega Diver’s watch still received a warm reception. As of now, the Omega Seamaster 300m is amongst the top gent’s watches and it’s available in about thirty distinct variants. All high-quality and attractive. Amongst the thirty models the newest one is Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronometer which the manufacturer introduced at the Baselworld 2018.
Seamaster Diver 300M is one of the James Bond watches. Daniel Craig wore a special Spectre Limited Edition from the series during the casting of the Spectre in 2015.

Seamaster Aqua Terra
Unlike the Seamaster Diver 300M which has a characteristic masculine styling, the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection houses even feminine designs as well. The line has some of the best omega watches for women who fancy underwater moments and the stunning sophistication of timepieces.
Omega Watchmaking Company introduced the Aqua Terra watch in the year 2002. In 2008, the Omega began to equip the Seamaster Aqua Terra with an in-house movement, ideally Caliber 8500. During the 10th anniversary of the prestigious lineup, Omega created a high-end movement with magnetic resistance of up to 15,000 gauss for the watch.

Seamaster 300
The diver’s watch is amongst the most recognized omega watches for men, due to its remarkable waterproofness and simplicity. Around 1954, Blancpain and Rolex created sports watches that underwater enthusiasts could use in deep diving. In proving its ingenuity and dexterity, Omega introduced the Seamaster 300 which could answer to the Submariner from the Rolex Company.
Ironically, the first Omega Seamaster 300 had a water resistance of up to 200 meters. Now the current models are now 300-meter waterproofed. Currently, the renowned Seamaster 300 collection has around 20 distinct watch variants, all featuring various color combinations and precious materials, including gold, titanium, and platinum.

Seamaster Planet Ocean
Omega released the first version of the Planet Ocean watch in 2005 and as an evolution of the Seamaster 300, its case is available in various sizes. The Planet Ocean 600M series has various models with vibrant coloring, as well as the functionality. For optimum precision, over dozen of the contained watches has Chronograph on top of their unidirectional rotatable bezel. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M watches have a certified chronometer caliber with a superlative resistance to magnetic fields- of up 15000 gausses to be precise.

Seamaster Railmaster The Omega Seamaster Railmaster made its first appearance in 1957, alongside the Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster. The Railmaster watch is made “aesthetically” for the scientists and electrical engineers. The wristwatch had a definitive magnetic-resistant movement but due to its low market, the watch’s production ceased in1963. Following the new technology and the wide application of magnetism, Omega SA reintroduced the Railmaster collection with a co-axial caliber escapement to enhance the efficiency. During the 60th anniversary of the technical lineup, the Omega introduced two new series - with one borrowing its design from the original Railmaster CK2914. Essentially, the original model had a design similar to the Seamaster 300.

Seamaster Bullhead The first Omega Seamaster Bullhead made its appearance in 1969 but the watchmaker included it amongst the reissued models in 2013. Aesthetically, the wristwatch has a distinguished face that will always remind you of a “bulldog”. This notion is enhanced by the wide face, alongside the crown and pushbuttons on the top of the case. All the contained watches have the chronograph feature, hence the use of the pushbuttons.
The Seamaster Bullhead is included amongst the category of Omega watches for men due to its masculine makeup, including the 43mm case size. The encompassed watches has a sporty display as with the Reference 225.12.43.50.04.001 which combines accents of blue, red and black on the white dial.

Seamaster Ploprof 1200m
For the professional divers or underwater researchers, the Seamaster Ploprof 1200M is another diver watch that will serve your desires optimally and with satisfaction. The Omega dive watch selection is amongst the unique creations on the market, following its extraordinary case design. Omega introduced the first Seamaster PloProf 1200M in 2009, while its design takes the inspiration of the original PloProf 600 from the early 1970s. The modern models come with either a rubber strap or a braided stainless steel bracelet and a certified waterproofness of up to 1200 meters.

Seamaster 1948
The Omega Seamaster 1948 is the last of modern selections in the glorious diver’s collection. The watch series is a limited edition which was meant to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the launch of the Seamaster collection in 1948. As of now, the classic vintage-inspired collection is available in only four variations, with two featuring a small seconds function. While the other two display a central seconds hand. All the Seamaster 1948 watches are professionally clean, thus, a perfect choice for your professional business dressing. The watches are 60-meter waterproof.

History of Omega Seamaster Watches

The brand Omega not only comprises of outstanding timepieces but also offers a fascinating history to go along with them. Omega was founded in the year 1848 by a 23 years old Louis Brandt who started a small watch business so as to assemble the components of the watch into its finished products. In the 1930s it collaborated with the S.S.I.H. (Société Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogère) and later the Swatch Group evolved out of this cooperation. At present, Omega is the leader of this prestigious company.

The Omega Seamaster model of this brand sets its date back to 1948 and is popularly known as the "James Bond watch". These are the legends among the dive watches and are the oldest in the family line of Omega. The design of the original Seamaster watch can be traced back to 1932 when Omega debuted its Marine watch. This was first worn by Yves Le Prieur who is regarded as the “father of modern diving”, a French navy officer and inventor of the modern scuba mask and tank.

Initially, the Omega Seamaster was built keeping in mind the waterproof wristwatches that were made for the British military during World War II. What separates the Seamaster from its diving watches is its feature of O-ring gasket, which has been fixed so as to improve its water-resistance.

Omega turned to the submarines for its inspiration and came up with Omega Seamaster’s final design which included a resilient rubber gasket. This new case remained intact at depths up to 60 meters and temperature ranges between -40 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius.

The engineers of Omega were confident of the Seamaster’s durability and to check this factor they attached one of the watches to the outside of an aircraft which flew it over the North Pole in 1956.
The Seamaster offers a wide range of watches, let’s take a peek at some of its popular family members: Omega Seamaster 300

In 1957, Omega released its remarkable models including the Omega Speedmaster, Omega Railmaster, and the Omega Seamaster 300M (Ref. CK2913). The Seamaster 300M’s second edition was launched in the 1960s which acquired a great amount of success and was supplied to the Royal Navy. The 2014 Seamaster 300 model revived its existence and was equipped with the most advanced innovations that Omega has to offer. It came with a scratch-proof sapphire crystal that arches above the Omega watch face and is made water resistant up to 300 meters.

One of its signature models is its Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.001. With the familiar wave pattern, the dial of this Omega watch also consists of laser cut with beautiful precision. The details of this watch have been brought out perfectly and is an apt choice which will go with all the occasions.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
This James Bond watch is considered to be a solid dive watch and is equipped with anti-magnetic features. The models of this line perfectly reflect fine craftsmanship and classy design. They are one of Omega's most popular wristwatches. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra comprises of sporty and elegant design which is perfect to simply turn heads. With the top-notch technology of this Omega watch, it really makes it up to be an all-around success.

One of the renowned models of this family line is its Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra >15,000 Gauss which exhibits a cutting-edge mechanism. Equipped with a co-axial caliber 8508, it holds the strength to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss, thus ensures that it will endure in situations where regular watches would quickly be impaired by magnetic fields.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean
Along with its extraordinary waterproof capabilities, this model consists of a versatile and classy appearance. The famous Omega Planet Ocean takes its inspiration from the very first version of the Omega Seamaster. First released in the year 2005, the Omega Planet Ocean takes forward the company's tradition of dive watches through the combination of modern technology and contemporary design. It is considered to be a modern classic and is equipped with technical finesse. The Omega watch is watertight up to 600 metres and is armed with an ingenious helium release valve whereas its Omega movement features a patented co-axial escapement.

The cases of the newer Omega models are equipped with a transparent sapphire crystal bottom. This is one of the features that is very unusual for an Omega dive watch, which makes it all the more stunning nonetheless. With the waves of change this Omega watch has encountered, it has turned out to be one of the best Omega watches that exist to meet all the diving needs that you may have in mind. However, given the transformation that the Omega watch has seen, it has become very clear that even though you are away from the sea – it becomes a part of you because of the feeling that the Omega Seamaster is capable of rendering.
