It has instantly garnered the attention of watch connoisseurs from all across the world. Whilst this all has been possible due to Nomos consistent efforts towards achieving innovations and precisions. Ever since its birth the company has delivered the number of exquisite models to the watch world. And still, it continues to do so. Keeping intact the brand's traditions of simple and sleek watch profiles, the Minimatik's are available encased in 35.5mm diameter cases. Hence, these are the thinnest automatic watches from Nomos Glashütte's menage. Basically, the Nomos Minimatik is available in three main variants: including Silver/Classic, Nachtblau and Champagne. Differing on the basis of dial colour, rest all of the characteristics of these Nomos Glashutte watches have been kept the same. Moreover, the Nomos Minimatik watches are affordable pieces of luxury whose price ranges are moderately low as compared to other brands.

However, in order to gain a better insight into the features of these Nomos watches let's read further:

Case
Featuring a 35.5mm case with just 8.9mm height, the Nomos Minimatik watches are extremely thin. In fact, these are the Nomos Glashutte thinnest automatic watch. The case of Minimatik exhibits a completely contemporary look. Every small part fixed along the case has received a fine polishing and brushing. Moreover, the thin bezel and small lugs make the case look very distinctive. The lugs size in these watches have been reduced to 17mm and have been tapered towards the inward direction. Even the side of the bezel has been brushed, bringing out the detailing of the case sides. And further highlighting the dial, the tops of the lugs have also been brushed.

However, when the Nomos Glashutte watch is flipped over you can encounter the name of the watch and the reference number mentioned on the circumference of the case. Also, the large display window provided at the case back will allow you to have a complete view of the movement ticking inside it. Hence, all in all, the case design of Nomos Minimatik watches exude a very subtle and sober look.

Dial
Now coming to dial, the Nomos Minimatik watches are available in three different dial variants. All of these dials are encapsulated with contemporary design elements. Surprisingly the dials have curious design too. The dials of Nomos Minimatiks are completely flattened from the top and are nested with a subdial located at six o'clock. Moreover, for representing the even hours the indices are embossed with large Arabic numerals, whereas the odd hours are represented by small dots. Thus the dial is greatly synchronised with each of its minute features. Surrounding the hour indices are minute markers represented by small dots. And after every interval of five large gold dots have been adorned on the dial face which is slightly bevelled in shape. Additionally, the hour and seconds' hands enamelled with bright contrasting colour hues lend the dial all together a very captivating appeal.

Movement
Now comes the main highlight of these Nomos Glashütte watches, the movement at their heart. Well, its the thinnest automatic movement ever produced and it's none other than the Nomos new DUW 3001 movement. Presented at Basel world 2015, this Nomos movement took complete 3 years and 2.5 million euros for its manufacturing. Showcasing a mere 3.2 mm thickness this calibre is extremely thin. While it is surprising to know that this movement works without any hairspring or escape wheel but yet it delivers the optimum performance figures with high precisions.

Straps and Wearability
The straps of Nomos are made using Horween Shell Cordovan natural leather. But the Champagne comes with a vegetable tanned calf leather strap. Although the style of both the straps has been kept quite similar. The straps are 17mm in width and have the tapered edged with the end being rolled and folded. Additionally, the strap is also fitted with "winged clasp", capable to act as both buckle and keeper. Thus, overall the straps are very nice and comfortable to wear on wrists.

So this was all about the Nomos Minimatik watches. No matter what you choose, whether it's Silver, Nachtblau or Champagne variant, all of the Minimatik watches are assuredly going to deliver you the optimum performance without compromising for anything.
