The brand Montblanc started its company in the year 1906 and was founded by Alfred Nehemias, who was a Hamburg merchant and August Eberstein who was a Berlin engineer by profession. These two creative people teamed up together with Claus Voss who was a stationary trader, hence began their memorable journey.
With a motto of creating "a tool that would revolutionize the art of handwriting", these two young men started their voyage. In 1906 itself, they worked hard together and came up with a non-leaking device which was equipped with a piston converter and this in future defined the modern fountain pen.
In the 80s, Dunhill Holding Company bought a major stake of Montblanc which in the later year was captured by the Vendôme Luxury Group S.A who further combined all luxury good companies.
